Book: The Wise Heart – a guide to the universal teachings of Buddhist psychology

ImageThis is a really accessible book with a lot of personal stories.  Each of the 24 chapters have good exercises to accompany them, such as walking meditation and lovingkindness.  How can we learn to let go?  In what ways can we apply the psychology and philosophy of Buddhism in our lives?  In our yoga practice?

It’s available tree free: kindle, audio, or second-hand… or you can most likely Find it at a library near you.

Jack Kornfield also has a website:

I found this book after listening to Jack Kornfield give talks through podcasts Zencast and Tara Brach, which are two other great sources on Buddhism towards an American audience (Bay area and DC area, respectively).
