This is a nice practice to do by yourself before class begins, particularly if you still find yourself distracted by others in your class or self-conscious about yourself. It’s also good for when you’re in traffic, in a long line, or in any other situation with strangers. We can develop habits of non-judgement towards ourselves and towards others by opening up our hearts, working to rewrite thought ruts of personalization, self-comparisons, and mind-reading.
